Driver/ Technician

Summary:
Field labor position involving the clean-up of industrial and hazardous waste sites by conducting such duties as Confined Spaces Operations, Tank Installation/Removal, Heavy Equipment Operations, Ecological Operations, and Transportation Operations that require driving company  trucks that include combination, straight, tank, and utility trucks to transport bulk and containerized liquid and solid waste materials to landfills and treatment facilities.

Salary:
Dependent on qualifications and experience.

Description:
Operates commercial trucks such as, but not limited to, vacuum trucks, box trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, pickup trucks, dump trucks.
Operates heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, skid steer, and other off road equipment.
Site remediation, including general labor, lifting, shoveling, moving drums and other equipment.
Confined Spaces Operations such as tank cleaning with the use of a pressure washer.
Emergency Response Operations – 24-Hour Call.

Requirements:
Must have and maintain good driving record and willing to work weekends, overtime, and travel overnight.
Must have Class A or B CDL license. 2 years of experience preferred but not required.
Tank endorsement preferred.
Haz Waste endorsement preferred.
TWIC badge preferred.
40-hr HAZWOPER preferred.

Education and/or experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two years of experience in environmental field or construction/industrial field to include site cleanup and equipment operation preferred.  Two years of driving experience with a CDL.

Description:
Technicians complete daily field service activities in a safe and compliant manner. He or she is an experienced field services professional in the environmental services industry.
May operate commercial trucks such as, but not limited to vacuum trucks, box trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, pickup trucks, dump trucks.
May operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, skid steer, and other off road equipment.
Confined Spaces Operations such as tank cleaning with the use of a pressure washer.
